Pankaj Tripathi, a beloved figure in the Indian
entertainment industry, has made a conscious decision to steer clear of
on-screen profanity. In a recent conversation with Mashable India, the esteemed
actor expressed his desire to explore alternative, more creative avenues to
convey intense emotions without resorting to the use of explicit language.
Tripathi candidly acknowledged that there were instances in
his career where he uttered expletives, albeit sparingly – approximately three
to four times, most notably in the series "Mirzapur." He elaborated
that, at times, incorporating such language was necessary to lend authenticity
to his characters. However, he emphasized his new approach, stating, "Now
I have decided I won't say it even if it is important. They should find a
creative way to do it. Filmmaking is a creative process so you have to see what
else can be done."
The versatile actor went on to recount an amusing anecdote
from his stint on "Mirzapur," where he improvised by inventing a
nonsensical phrase, "Vishudh ladke ho tum." This phrase, while devoid
of any actual meaning, served as a testament to his commitment to creative
problem-solving within the realm of filmmaking.
Switching gears to his professional endeavors, Pankaj
Tripathi's recent work has earned him accolades and attention. He featured in
the critically acclaimed and commercially successful "OMG 2,"
directed by Amit Rai. Furthermore, his outstanding performance in the film
"Mimi" garnered him the Best Supporting Actor award. Currently, fans
eagerly anticipate his return in "Fukrey 3," where he will reprise
the role of Pandit Ji, promising another captivating performance from this
talented actor.
