1. Dahaad

 

Dahaad is a Hindi mystery thriller series that revolves around police officer Anjali as she goes about investigating the murders by a supposed serial killer, who kills women and leaves bodies in public washrooms. Much like classic thrillers, the series shows how the police realises the pattern and goes on a hunt for the killer on the run. This series from Amazon Prime Video is one of its biggest of this year, with a star cast that includes Sonakshi Sinha, Vijay Varma, Gulshan Devaiah, and more. In its few days of release, Dahaad has been praised for its strong social message and plot twists, however it is slightly criticised for a weak climax.

2. Taj: Season 2

Taj, the epic historical fictional drama series, continues its successful with Season 2 already streaming on Zee5 in India. Called Taj: Reign of Revenge, the series brings back the star cast as it continues the ongoing battle for the Mughal throne as the sons plan and plot murders and tussles to become the King of the vast empire. The second season actually is set 15 years after the events of the first season, as it reveals how the women involved also fight dirty to help their men win the throne.

The series delves deep into the mystery and how the protagonists are on the hunt to find out what led to the surprising turn of events for the deceased. Directed by Arif Khan, this crime thriller is equal parts unique and scintillating, and comes with a superb cast that includes names like Alaya F, Priyanshu Painyuli, and Manu Rishi Chadha.
