The Asia Cup Super 4 match between Afghanistan and Pakistan
will always be remembered as one of the most exciting T20 games of all time.
The match had ups and downs and, in the end, Pakistan won by one wicket. Pacer
Nasim Shah was the star of the show as he hit the first two balls of the final
for a six and secured a place in the final for his team. But after the end of
the match, there were bad scenes in the stadium after the seats were broken by
the Afghan fans and there was even a fight between the supporters of
Afghanistan and Pakistan.
A video of the commotion was shared on Twitter by former
Pakistani point guard Shoaib Akhtar, who wrote: This is a game and it must be
played and absorbed in the right spirit. ShafiqStanikzai, both your fans and
your players need to learn a few things if you want to grow in this sport.
It is important to note that Shafiq chose to flag Stanikzai,
who appears to be the former CEO of the Afghanistan Cricket Board, in his
position. Stanikzai also responded to Akhtar's tweet, saying, "You can't
control the emotions of the fans and such incidents have happened in the
multi-cricket world.
They should ask Kabir Khan, Enzyme Bhai and @iRashidLatif68
how we dealt with them. Next time I will give advice to baat ko nation pe Mat
lena."
As for the match between Afghanistan and Pakistan, the
former beat the former to 129/6 at 20 over. Pakistan, which followed 130th,
finished 16th with an 87/3 score.
However, Pakistan fell from there and became 118/9 in the
final. In the final it took 11 runs to win. It was Nasim Shah who became the
hero of Pakistan.
It is also important to note that in the final second half
of the game, Pakistan's Asif Ali and Afghan's Farid Ahmed Malik had an
altercation after the Pakistani batsman was sent off.
Ali almost hit the Afghan thug with his bat and anger seemed
to explode.
After their victory in the final of the AFC Asian Cup, the
players of the Pakistan national team celebrated with a lavish spectacle in
Sharjah.
