unprecedented step by declaring a holiday on August 10th, the day of the
much-anticipated release of Rajinikanth's latest film, "Jailer." In a
gesture that echoes the fervor surrounding Rajinikanth's cinematic outings, these
offices are also offering complimentary tickets to their employees, ensuring
they are able to join in the celebratory atmosphere.
Rajinikanth's stature in South India goes beyond mere
celebrity; he is a revered figure and cultural symbol. In regions like Tamil
Nadu, the release of his movies is synonymous with a grand celebration, akin to
a festival. This sentiment is once again being observed with the impending
release of "Jailer," directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The film is
slated to grace the silver screen on August 10th. Understanding the
significance of the "First Day First Show" tradition, numerous
workplaces in cities such as Chennai and Bengaluru have decided to grant their
employees leave on this special occasion.
A noteworthy announcement on Twitter captured the attention
of many. A company declared, "In light of the release of the film
'JAILER,' starring the iconic SUPER STAR RAJINI, we have chosen to declare
August 10th, 2023, as a holiday to preempt a deluge of leave requests to the HR
DEPARTMENT." In a further display of support for combating piracy, the
company extended a generous gesture of offering free tickets to its employees,
asserting their dedication to this cause.
The note continued, "Additionally, we are privileged to
take a step further in the fight against piracy by providing complimentary
tickets to the dedicated employees of UNO AQUA. Rajinikanth isn't just the
SUPER STAR for our forefathers, fathers, our generation, our sons, and our
grandsons; he's a legacy that transcends generations. This also applies to our
branches in Chennai, Bangalore, Trichy, Tirunelveli, Chengalpattu,
Mattuthavani, Arapalayam & Alagappan Nagar."
"Jailer" marks a momentous collaboration between
Rajinikanth and director Nelson Dilipkumar. The beloved superstar,
affectionately known as Thalaiva, makes a triumphant return to the silver
screen after a hiatus of two years. His role in the film centers around that of
a retired police officer, promising an enthralling action-packed narrative. At
the audio launch of "Jailer," Rajinikanth candidly shared his journey
of script selection after his previous film, "Annaatthe." He
expressed, "Following 'Annaatthe,' I was presented with numerous scripts,
but none resonated with me. I decided to halt the process and take my time. It
was then that Kannan from Sun Pictures, a friend of Nelson's, informed me about
a story that Nelson had crafted. I patiently waited for Nelson to return from
his commitments, understanding his nocturnal habits. Our interaction was set
for around 11:30 am."
The cast of "Jailer" includes illustrious names
such as Jackie Shroff, Tamannaah Bhatia, Priyanka Mohan, Shiva Rajkumar, Ramya
Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Vasanth Ravi, and Vinayakan. A special cameo appearance by
Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has also garnered attention. A poster featuring
these two legendary actors was unveiled, sparking excitement among fans. The
production team expressed this excitement by stating, "Superstar -
Lalettan. Who isn't eagerly anticipating this combination? Just 5 days left for
the #Jailer storm to hit theaters! #JailerFromAug10."
