Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Himachal Pradesh on
October 5 to launch and lay the foundation for projects worth over Rs 3,650
crore. During the Dussehra celebrations, the Prime Minister will also visit the
Dhalpur field in Kullu to participate in the celebrations. He will be the first
Prime Minister of the country to participate in Kullu Dussehra celebrations.
According to a PMO statement, the Prime Minister will
inaugurate AIIMS Bilaspur at around 11:30 am. After that, he will reach Luhnu
Ground from Bilaspur at around 12:45 pm, where he will inaugurate and lay the
foundations for many development projects and also address the public.
AIIMS BILASPUR WAS BUILT AT A COST OF MORE THAN RS 1,470
CRORE.
The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of AIIMS
Bilaspur in October 2017. The hospital was established under the central
district program Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana.
AIIMS Bilaspur, built at a cost of over Rs 1,470 crore, is a
state of the art hospital with 18 specialist and 17 super specialist
departments, 18 modular theaters, 750 beds with 64 intensive care beds. Spread
over 247 acres, the hospital has 24-hour emergency and dialysis, modern
diagnostic equipment like ultrasound, CT scan, MRI, etc., Amrit Pharmacy and
Jan Aushadhi Kendra along with 30-bed AYUSH block, as said. the statement.
The hospital has also launched a Digital Health Center to
provide health services to the tribal and inaccessible areas of Himachal
Pradesh. The hospital will also provide specialized health services through
health camps in inaccessible tribal areas in the Himalayas such as Kaza, Saluni
and Keylong. "The hospital will admit 100 students for the MBBS course and
60 students for the nursing course every year," he said. Laying the
foundations, implementation of development projects
In a major boost to tourism in the state, Prime Minister
Modi will also lay the foundation for about 31 km long work for four lanes of
national highway from Pinjore to Nalagarh on NH-105, at a cost of over Rs 1,690
crore . The project road is a major link for traffic from Ambala, Chandigarh,
Panchkula and Solan/Shimla towards Bilaspur, Mandi and Manali. About 18 km of
this quadrilateral section falls under Himachal Pradesh and the remaining part
falls under Haryana. This will give a boost to industrial development in the
area.
"The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone
for a medical infrastructure park in Nalagarh which will be built at a cost of
Rs 350 crore to boost employment opportunities in the area. Contracts worth
over Rs 800 crore have already been signed for construction of buildings. work
in this medical device camp,” the PMO statement read.
Prime Minister Modi will also inaugurate the Government
Hydro Engineering College in Bandla. Costing around Rs 140 crore, the college
will help provide technical personnel for hydropower projects, of which
Himachal Pradesh is one of the key states. It will help improve the skills of
young people and provide more job opportunities in the water sector.
FOR KULLU DUSSEHRA FESTIVAL
International Kullu Dussehra festival will be celebrated
from October 5 to 11 at Dhalpur Ground in Kullu. The special ceremony will see
the assembly of more than 300 gods of the valley. On the first day of the
festival, the deities in their beautiful palanquins pay obeisance in the temple
of the main deity Bhagwan Raghunath ji, and proceed to Dhalpur land. He will
also attend the Rath Yatra and Grand Assembly of Deities during the historic
Kullu dussehra festival.
