Four members of an Indian-origin family from the United States, including an eight-month-old daughter who had been missing for days, were found in an orchard in California, news agency PTI reported, citing story.
Eight-month-old Aroohi Dheri and her parents - Jasleen Kaur, 27, and Jasdeep Singh, 36 - were kidnapped on Monday from a shipping company in Merced County, northern California. The child's uncle, Amandeep Singh, 39, was also kidnapped, according to Merced County police.
Merced County Sheriff Vern Warnke said the four bodies were found Wednesday night in an orchard near Indiana Road and Hutchinson Road. Police said a farmer near the orchard saw the bodies before contacting authorities.
"There are no words to describe my anger," Sherrif Warnke said at a press conference on Wednesday evening, according to news agency PTI. On Wednesday, police released a video showing the moment the family was abducted. The video shows Jasdeep and Amandeep walking out of the business hand in hand. Seconds later, the baby and his mother were seen leaving the house with the kidnapper. The four members of the family were then taken to a car before they left the place.
