Two migrant workers from Uttar Pradesh were killed in a
terrorist attack overnight in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district.
The attack comes days after a Kashmiri pandit was killed in
a targeted attack in the same area. Police said a terrorist hurled a grenade at
non-commissioned officers in Harmen area of Shopian on Monday night.
The two workers killed were Ram Sagar and Monish Kumar, both
residents of Kannauj in Uttar Pradesh. Police said the attacker was arrested a
few hours after throwing the bomb.
A "terrorist" from Lashkar-e-Taiba, Imran Bashir
Ganie, who threw the bomb was arrested by the Shopian police. Attacks
continue,” said Vijay Kumar, Jammu and Kashmir police chief.
"Hybrid terrorists" are unnamed individuals who
engage in terrorist activities and reintegrate into society without incident.
On Saturday, terrorists killed Pooran Krishan Bhat, a Kashmiri pandit in
