Bollywood actress Nushrratt Bharuccha has safely returned to
Mumbai after finding herself stranded in Israel amid the ongoing conflict
between Israel and Palestine, particularly during a Hamas attack. Nushrratt was
in Israel for the premiere of her film "Akelli," which had been
officially selected at the 39th Haifa International Film Festival.
As tensions escalated and Israel declared itself at war,
many sought refuge in various places. Concerns were raised when Nushrratt's
team could not establish contact with her since the afternoon on Saturday.
Fortunately, by Sunday morning, they were able to reestablish communication
with her, and the Indian Embassy took swift action to bring her back to India.
Nushrratt Bharuccha's safe arrival at the Mumbai airport on
Sunday afternoon became a viral sensation on social media, with videos and
photos capturing the moment.
Nushrratt Bharuccha's publicist had previously stated,
"Nushrratt has finally boarded the flight for India and is on her way back
home. She will be landing in Mumbai at 2:00 pm."
For those unaware, multiple reports indicate that the
militant group Hamas from Palestine launched over 5,000 rockets towards Israel
from the Gaza Strip on Saturday, October 7. This unfortunate act resulted in
the loss of lives and injuries, with at least 250 casualties reported. Sirens
sounded across the country. Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
addressed the nation, emphasizing that the situation was a war, not merely an
operation, and vowed a strong response to the attacks.
Turning to her professional endeavors, Nushrratt Bharuccha's
most recent project was "Akelli," produced by Nitin Vaidya, Ninad
Vaidya, Aparna Padgaonkar, Vicky Sidana, and Shashant Shah. The film was
released by Dashami Studioz, which was established in 2016.
