"Jawan" Continues to Soar at the Box Office: Shah
Rukh Khan's Film Earns ₹81 Crore on Sunday, Weekend Total Reaches ₹287 Crore
In a stunning turn of events, "Jawan," the
action-packed film starring Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara, has set the box
office on fire during its extended weekend run, starting with a Thursday
release. The movie, helmed by director Atlee, delivered an extraordinary
performance on Sunday by raking in an estimated ₹81 crore in India across all
languages, according to early estimates from Sacnilk.com. Film trade analyst
Manobala Vijayabalan reported a gross collection of ₹85.10 crore for the film.
"Jawan" opened in India with a strong initial
collection of ₹75 crore, with ₹65.5 crore contributed by the Hindi version and
the remaining from the Tamil and Telugu versions. The film maintained its
momentum, collecting ₹53.23 crore on Friday and an impressive ₹77.83 crore on
Saturday. The exceptional ₹81 crore collection on Sunday pushed the film's
total earnings to approximately ₹287 crore, as reported by Sacnilk.com.
The film's remarkable success is further underscored by
occupancy rates for its Sunday screenings. It enjoyed an overall occupancy of
70.77 percent for Hindi shows, 53.71 percent for Tamil shows, and 68.79 percent
for Telugu shows.
Film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan shared this historic
achievement on Monday, stating, "Jawan creates History. Sold a Record
2,875,961 tickets from tracked shows alone in India on the 4th day. Biggest
