It appears that Aamir Khan is preparing to venture into film
production once again, this time with his son, Junaid Khan, in the spotlight.
According to a report from Pinkvilla, reliable sources have revealed that Aamir
Khan has taken the initiative to produce a movie featuring his son, Junaid
Khan. This upcoming project is actually a remake of a Thai film called
"One Day," which was originally released in 2016.
The Thai romantic drama, "One Day," caught Aamir's
attention, and he secured the official rights for its Indian remake last year.
Collaborating closely with Aamir on this venture is Sunil Pandey, a trusted
associate of Aamir Khan for many years. Notably, Pandey is not only directing
the film but has also skillfully adapted the storyline of the Thai film to make
it resonate within the Indian cultural context.
In the Indian adaptation, Junaid Khan, Aamir's son, will be
stepping into the lead role. He will portray the character of a reserved
30-year-old IT officer who finds himself entangled in a heartwarming tale of
romance. The character grapples with the complexities of expressing his
emotions, hindered by his natural shyness. Central to the story is his
affection for a colleague, which presents a significant challenge due to his
inherent hesitance.
While the female lead opposite Junaid is yet to be
finalized, the film is gathering anticipation for its unique premise and the
collaboration between Aamir Khan and his son Junaid in the Indian film
industry.
Interestingly, Aamir Khan's involvement in recent projects
has been noteworthy. He was previously seen in the film "Laal Singh
Chaddha." Intriguingly, Aamir had earlier disclosed that Junaid was
originally intended to play the lead role in "Laal Singh Chaddha."
However, Aamir eventually chose to take on the role himself.
Looking ahead, Aamir Khan is currently focused on his role
as a producer for the Hindi remake of the Spanish film "Campeones."
In this endeavor, he will be working behind the scenes, ensuring the successful
adaptation of the foreign film to the Indian audience. Additionally, there have
been reports indicating Aamir's discussions with renowned filmmaker Rajkumar
Hirani for a potential biographical project, a prospect that has captured the
attention and excitement of fans and industry insiders alike.
