Akshay Kumar's upcoming film, originally known as Capsule
Gill, has undergone a title change and will now be called "Mission
Raniganj." Following the success of OMG 2, the actor is set to make his
return to the big screen in October with Tinu Suresh Desai's film produced by
Pooja Entertainment. The team behind the Jaswant Singh Gill Biopic is gearing up
to release the first teaser of the movie this week, precisely on Akshay Kumar's
birthday, which falls on September 9.
A source close to the development shared, "A thrilling,
edge-of-the-seat teaser of the film is ready to be unveiled as Akshay Kumar's
birthday gift to all his fans." This teaser is expected to be
approximately 1 minute long.
Regarding the title change, the source revealed, "The
team had considered several titles over the past few months. Initially, the
film was titled Capsule Gill. However, Jackky Bhagnani decided to change it to
The Great Indian Escape. Subsequently, there was another title change to The Great
Indian Rescue. Now, they have settled on the title Mission Raniganj."
The film is scheduled for release nationwide on October 6,
and the makers are enthusiastic about delivering another unforgettable
cinematic experience, following the success of OMG 2. The teaser release will
be followed by the launch of a trailer and a song, all building anticipation
for the film's official release. "Mission Raniganj" will see Akshay
Kumar paired with Parineeti Chopra, reuniting them after their previous collaboration
in Kesari.
