Samantha Ruth Prabhu has completed the filming of Citadel India. The actress shared the confirmation of finishing the shoot schedule on her Instagram Stories. Citadel India, directed by Raj & DK is a spin-off of Priyanka Chopra's Citadel. Samantha plays the main role alongside Varun Dhawan in the series, which marks their first on-screen collaboration.

Samantha Ruth is an actress who is shooting without taking any breaks for her projects. After finishing Shakunthalam and Kushi back-to-back, the actress wrapped up shooting for her ambitious and globally mounted show Citadel, co-starring Varun Dhawan, which proves her dedication and commitment to her work. Citadel has been hotly anticipated since it was announced, and the audiences are hugely anticipating watching the show, which will present the leading actress in a full-fledged action avatar and a never-before-seen role. The actress took to her social media account and posted the shoot wrap-up of Citadel with a caption that said,

Sources close to the actress had informed Hindustan Times that Samantha is scheduled to travel to the United States in August for a minimum duration of one year. Her decision to take this break stems from her ongoing battle with an autoimmune disease, which necessitates extensive treatment and therapy sessions. Samantha intends to seek treatment in the US and may also visit South Korea for medical purposes.

In Citadel, Samantha will showcase her skills in high-energy action sequences, alongside Varun Dhawan, who plays the male lead. The series is directed by the renowned filmmaker duo Raj and DK. Following Citadel, Samantha's next project is the film Kushi, where she will be paired opposite Vijay Deverakonda. The Telugu movie is set to release on September 1 and will also be available in Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages. The film features a stellar cast including Jayaram, Sachin Khedakar, Murali Sharma, Lakshmi, Ali, Rohini, Vennela Kishore, Rahul Ramakrishna, Srikanth Iyengar, and Saranya.
